Our Process
-

Step 1: Free Consultation
We understand that families often have many questions about speech and language therapy. Contact us to set up a free 15 minute call where we will discuss your specific needs and whether speech and language therapy may be right for your family.
-

Step 2: Evaluation
We will take an in-depth look at your child’s speech and language skills using a variety of measures such as family input, language samples, observations, and/or standardized assessments. If therapy is recommended, we will create a treatment plan that addresses your child’s individual needs.
-

Step 3: Therapy Sessions
Based on your evaluation results, we will work together to make an individualized treatment plan and choose specific goals that will make the most positive impact on your child’s communication. Taking your child’s strengths and interests into account, we will select the most appropriate and evidence-based therapy approaches to help your child succeed.
Evaluations
Comprehensive Speech & Language Evaluations
We provide deep-dive diagnostic assessments that go beyond simple checklists. Our evaluations look at the whole child to identify strengths, challenges, and a clear path forward.
• 1-2 hours of evaluation time (may be split over 1-2 sessions).
• Multidimensional assessment using formal, informal, and dynamic measures.
• Comprehensive written clinical report with data-driven analysis and insights.
• 20-minute results review with parents/caregivers.
• Optional 15-minute consultation with pediatrician or teacher.
Fee: $850
Specialized AAC Evaluations
Communication is a human right and it takes many forms beyond spoken language. We provide specialized support for Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC) to help find the right tools, from high-tech tablet-based speech generation devices to low-tech printed communication boards, that best support your child's voice and personality. This process looks deeper than a standard evaluation to ensure we find a perfect "match" between the technology and your child's individual strengths.
Clinical AAC Assessment
This assessment is designed for children and individuals who find that spoken language alone isn't enough to meet their daily communication needs. You might consider this evaluation if your child is currently non-speaking, has limited verbal speech, or if their speech is difficult for others to understand. It is also a valuable step if you feel your child has much more to say than they are currently able to express and you want to explore tools that can help bridge that gap.
• Comprehensive profile of expressive and receptive communication skills.
• Specialized feature-matching analysis of linguistic, cognitive, and physical access requirements.
• Access to specialized software, high-tech speech-generating apps, and low-tech trial materials.
• Detailed clinical report and implementation roadmap with specific app settings and functional goals.
Fee: $950
Insurance Funding Add-on:
This service is an optional add-on to the base Clinical AAC Assessment for families who wish to pursue a dedicated speech-generating device through their insurance provider. You might choose this add-on if you are seeking a permanent, specialized communication tool—often classified by insurance as Durable Medical Equipment (DME)—and need a partner to navigate the complex clinical requirements and 10–15 page report necessary for funding approval.
• Includes 4 follow-up sessions during the trial period for family coaching and data collection.
• Coordination of multi-device trials (typically spanning 3–6 weeks, depending on insurance requirements).
• Direct collaboration with technology vendors and specialists.
• Drafting of the comprehensive medical necessity report, required for insurance funding approval.
Additional Fee: +$550
